The payment methods that usually work
Card payments are the default. Apple Pay and Google Pay can be available through Stripe depending on your device and bank. A wallet is still backed by a card or bank account, so the underlying payment method must support the charge.
- Credit or debit card that supports international USD transactions.
- Apple Pay on a supported iPhone, iPad or Mac.
- Google Pay on a supported Android device or Chrome profile.
- A bank-issued virtual card, if it allows recurring or online purchases.
Why a card gets declined
The most common reasons are international payments being disabled, a billing-address mismatch, insufficient available balance, a daily online-purchase limit or a bank fraud rule. The message on the checkout page often tells you which category you are in.
Do not retry the same card ten times. Banks treat repeated attempts as a fraud signal. Fix one variable at a time: another card, a different browser or a call to the bank.
| Message | Likely cause | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Card declined | Bank rule or insufficient funds | Check the bank app or call the number on the card. |
| Payment method not supported | Wallet or card type unavailable | Try a standard card in a supported browser. |
| Authentication failed | 3-D Secure or bank verification | Complete the bank challenge or use another card. |
| Currency not supported | Card cannot charge USD | Use a card that supports international USD payments. |
Paying without a US-issued card
A card does not have to be issued in the United States. It needs to support the currency and the merchant category. Many international cards work; others block online USD charges by default.
If your bank cannot authorize the payment, a one-time activation service can be a practical route. You pay in USD with a supported method and receive activation on your own account. The trade-off is that you are buying from an independent store, so check the delivery status and refund route before paying.
Payment security rules
Never send card details through chat, email or a social message. A legitimate checkout uses a hosted payment page and shows the amount before you confirm. If a seller asks for a screenshot of your card or a one-time bank code, stop.
This store uses Stripe Checkout. Card details are entered on Stripe's page, not stored in the order page. Your ChatGPT password is never part of the payment flow.
After the payment
Keep the receipt and the order number. If Stripe shows a successful payment but the order page does not update, wait a few minutes and refresh. If it is still stuck, contact support with the order number and the payment time.
Do not open a second order for the same account until the first one is resolved. Duplicate orders are harder to untangle than a single delayed order.
